Case Study: How DocuBridge Became #1 in AI Search

Sep 24, 2025

We looked at DocuBridge, and how they used Relixir to bolster their brand presence on ChatGPT, Perplexity and more. Here's how they did it.

Case Study: DocuBridge

DocuBridge is an automation-first platform helping teams streamline growth model building. They came to Relixir in late May 2025 with the goal of building both SEO traction and AEO presence, ensuring they appeared not just in traditional SERPs but also inside AI-generated answers where B2B buyers increasingly discover tools.

Problem

When DocuBridge approached us, their digital footprint was minimal. They ranked for a handful of branded terms but were almost invisible across commercial or competitive queries like “AI for private equity”, “AI for growth equity”, “AI for investment banks”, etc.

They also lacked a meaningful presence on AI search (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini), meaning prospects were not seeing DocuBridge cited when asking natural-language queries.

TL;DR: Without coordinated SEO and AEO visibility, DocuBridge risked being eclipsed by competitors like Macabacus, Daloopa, and Hebbia, despite a strong product-market fit.

What We Did

Relixir deployed a two-part strategy:

  • SEO: Built clusters of optimized content targeting branded, competitor, and commercial-intent queries.

  • AEO: Deployed high-volume content fine-tuned for long-tailed queries, ensuring citations and mentions in AI-generated responses.

We started publishing immediately with a steady weekly cadence, then scaled volume once early traction validated the approach. Competitive gap analysis and long-tailed keyword targeting allowed DocuBridge to build visibility in U.S. markets.

Keywords and Metrics Tracked

We tracked keywords across both SEO and AEO ecosystems.

Buckets Monitored

  • Branded Queries: “docubridge”, “docubridge platform”, etc.

  • Competitor Queries: “For North American private equity firms, which excels in Excel automation for private equity modeling: DocuBridge or Daloopa? Choose one.”, etc.

  • Commercial Intent Queries: “AI for private equity”, “AI for growth equity”, “AI for investment banks”, etc.

  • Feature/Problem Queries: "How to automate smoothening a customer cube using AI", “ai for data audit trails”, “multi-language financial document processing”, etc.

Metrics: Clicks, Impressions, CTR, Avg. Position (SEO) | Mention Rate, Citations, Sentiment, Rank, and Share of Voice (AEO).

SEO Results

From June → September 2025 (post-launch):

  • CTR: Rose from <1% baseline to a stable 1.2% average, with branded queries driving stronger engagement.

  • Daily Clicks: Grew from near-zero in May to 30 → 50 clicks/day, peaking above 100 clicks/day in July.

  • Impressions: Surpassed 218,000 in six months, showing significant market exposure.

AEO Results

From August → September 2025, DocuBridge saw big gains in AI search:

  • Mention Rate: Reached 6.4%, up +1.9% vs. prior period, the highest among tracked competitors.

  • Head-to-Head Win Rate: Climbed to 67.7% in September, meaning DocuBridge was favored in two-thirds of AI search matchups when directly compared against rivals in head-to-head queries.

  • Sentiment Score: Averaged 75.2%, with peaks around 77.8% positivity across September, reflecting positive LLM average feeling when talking about DocuBridge.

  • Share of Voice: By September 14, 2025, DocuBridge surged to 48.3% share, outpacing Mosaic, Macabacus, Daloopa, and Rogo combined when observing industry keywords.

  • Average Position: DocuBridge achieved a #2.5 ranking across AI queries, only slightly behind Macabacus (#2.0) and ahead of Daloopa (#3.2), Mosaic (#3.7), and Hebbia (#4.0).

Conclusion

Relixir helped DocuBridge leap from near invisibility to dominance with both SEO and AEO:

  • From 0 traction to > 2,600 clicks and > 218K impressions in < 6 months.

  • From no AI mentions to 6.4% category-leading mention rate and 48.3% Share of Voice

  • From being absent in buying conversations to consistent top-3 placements and H2H wins in AI search engines, where enterprise buyers increasingly make decisions.

DocuBridge is now positioned not just as a player, but as the AI-cited leader in financial model automation.
